The Veiled Kingdom by Holly Renee

Introduction:

I picked up the Veiled Kingdom by Holly Renee after seeing a review for it on social media.  It looked intriguing and was generally smaller than my usual reads so I decided, why not?  After reading some larger series, being able to read a book that’s a bit smaller is a nice change and less of a commitment (even with it being a series itself). 

Summary:

Nyra is a fae princess born to a power-hungry king.  When its discovered she has no power she is locked away until she can make her escape. On the run, hopeful no one will recognize her and bring her back to the palace, she is found by the rebellion. Thankfully they don’t recognize her, but now she has to keep her past a secret and remain undiscovered as the lost princess, or the rebellion could use her as leverage or worse.

Overall take:

This book was fairly easy to read and engaged me enough to where I wanted to know what happened next! This pace was great for me as it wasn’t too fast but also not too slow to where I’d lose interest.  In this book you get 2 different points of view, which, for me, allowed me to connect more with each of the characters.

Overall, the Veiled Kingdom is a great read with action, turmoil, and romance. If you like stories with Fae, enemies to lovers, and a lost princess, this book is for you! This book is part of a series with the 3^rd book currently out.
