Have you ever been so immersed in a story that you feel like you’re there?  When watching a movie or tv show, you can get sucked into the story but most of the time can be left feeling like you might be missing something.  Questions that, most of the time, won’t be answered (this is understandable because there is only so much information you can insert into a 2-3 hour movie or 30 minute tv show). Unless the movie or show is based on a book. Reading gives so much more detail than movies or tv shows nowadays that (as long as the story is written well) you should have little to no questions by the end of it.

When I was younger reading was a way to transport myself to another world and one thing I greatly enjoyed doing.  As an adult there was a time in my life where I really had no time to read.  I had 2 little ones to take care of and my focus was primarily on them. Now that they are more grown, can do things on their own and starting to have their own life, I have a little more time in my schedule to do the things I used to love.

Reading can be a magical experience.  When I read, I see a movie in my head which gets me immersed into the stories I read.  I learn about the characters and find myself rooting for their happy ending.  The twists and turns in each story, make me question: Is this “enemy” actually our enemy?

While some months, I am only able to read through one book (because of scheduling conflicts); other times I am able to read through multiple books (especially if the series is completed 😊).  Read at your own pace, this isn’t a race.  I will be providing my own TBR (To Be Read) book list so you can see what I may be reading up next.  As I leave my own reviews, I would love to know your thoughts if you’ve read the books too!  Share theories on what could happen next.  Were you surprised by a twist or did you know it would happen? Or even if you just didn’t like the book (we don’t all have to love/like the same things and that is okay).

Join me on this reading endeavor as we visit far away kingdoms, discover our found families, defeat the bad guy, and learn that people are not always who they seem to be.
